There is a 75% off last ticketed price going out of business sale at a Coles in the mall here. I felt compelled to buy a whole whack of books I don't really need, but just couldn't pass up for the price:

They fit into a couple categories:

Educational:

Eyeing the North Star: Directions in African Canadian Literature Edited by George Elliott Clarke $1.00

The Invisble Empire: Racism in Canada by Margaret Cannon $1.00

Essential Sufism Edited by James Fadiman & Robert Frager $1.37

The Essential Kabbalah By Daniel C. Matt $1.37

The Hacker Ethic: A Radical Approach to the Philosophy of Business by Pekka Himanen $4.49

Tabernacle of Hate By Kerry Noble $6.74

Inspirational:

Tears and Laughter Kahlil Gibran $2.00

Just for kicks:

WCW/NWO Super Sticker Activity Book $1.00 It has four full colour pages of stickers!!!

Things I probably would have bought at full price anyhow:

The Venetian's Wife by Nick Bantock $1.00

Zombies of the Gene Pool - A Jay Omega Mystery by Sharyn McCrumb $0.50

The Undertaking by Thomas Lynch $7.50

directions for an Opened Body by Kenneth K. Harvey $0.50

Things I've never yet read but always meant to:

The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde $0.62

Ettiquette for Men by G.R.M. Devereux $1.00 (first published in 1929)

So including taxes I spent just over $30. Not bad for a whole pile of hardcovers, eh? (well, the activity book is soft, but I'll likely just teef out the stickers)
