Time Event
Did almost nothing today except read about 85% of Ender's Game. Good book. No clue why I've never picked it up before. My sister has been pointing at it for a few months saying: "Read that, it's good!" So today, in my mopey, doing nothing except being a big lump on the couch mood I decided to stop spodding and read.

Glad I did.
Today was going to be my getting back on track day. You know.. up at the crack of dawn... getting things done on my oh-so-avoided "To-Do" list... tick-n-boo, all my ducks in a row.

But I woke up sick sick sick *cough* *sniffle* I think breau gave it to me last night. Germ-spreading gal that she is! :P

I feel all swollen in the throats *scratchy ick*, all phlegmy in the chest *cough cough* and all tired and sore and just poopy everywhere else. :(

TEA is definately the only thing on my "To-Do" list now. Tea and a cosy bed.
For neschek whom I was discussing my tendency to read multiple books at the same time.. here's the current books in my "To-Read" queue: (* denotes one I am part way through)

  • David Brin Kiln People*
  • Eric Schlosser Fast Food Nation
  • Neal Stephenson In the Beginning was the Command Line
  • Irvine Welsh Marabou Stork Nightmares*
  • Eduardo Galeano Upsidedown: A Primer for the Looking-Glass World
  • Kurt Vonnegut Bagombo Snuff Box
  • Sean Hughes the detainees
  • Vikram Seth A Suitable Boy
  • Hubert Phillips ("Caliban") My Best Puzzles in Logic & Reasoning*
  • Edward T. Hall Beyond Culture
  • Laurel Robertson (et al) The New Laurel's Kitchen*
  • Neal Stephenson Snow Crash
  • Christiane Northrup, MD Women's Bodies, Women's Wisdom
  • David R. Morrison Aid and the Ebb Tide: A History of CIDA and Canadian Development Assistance*
  • Tony Wheeler South-East Asia on a Shoestring*
  • Karen Connelly Touch the Dragon*
  • Colin Spencer Asylum
  • P.D. James A Certain Justice
  • Brian James Pure Sunshine*
  • Niels Mulder Inside Thai Society: An Interpretation of Everyday Life*
  • Douglas Copeland All Families are Psychotic*

and I am still one chapter from the end of yesterday's read: Orson Scott Card Ender's Game
  • 4:43p
Made myself some super extra spicy pad thai. And now my headcold of the day seems to be clearing. Gotta love chili. Mmmm mmm.

Almost finished the (yes people, I am wearing my absolute last possible attire -- jammie pants and a old ragedy t-shirt) let's count em: 9 loads of laundry. And I didn't wash towels or sheets yet. gah. I think if I didn't come home once and a while my mom and sister would just keep buying new stuff so they wouldn't have to go to work nekkid.
